Notre Dame Learning Center (NDLC) is the hidden gem in the Conejo Valley. I had no idea there was a preschool campus on the backside of La Reina high school run by the Sisters of Notre Dame. As a non-Catholic, I was seeking out a warm and nurturing environment for my growing children where they would be happy and thrive. The certified teachers and nuns that make up the staff are nothing short of exceptional. You can tell by their interactions with the children and warm attitudes that helping raise children and being community leaders are their life’s missions. The adult to student ratio is a non-issue, as the teachers lovingly stay past their designated class time to engage in free play with the children, La Reina students walk over after school to complete their volunteer time, and Sisters are always around just to play! The religion portion of the preschool is very simple and age appropriate. They put on an adorable Christmas play, say a simple prayer at lunchtime and just learn that God loves them.
